Estebeiro enthrals Journalism students at Photography Workshop

The department of Journalism of St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, recently organised a workshop on ‘Indoor Photography’ for the TY Journalism students. It was conducted under the guidance of Mr Rosario Estebeiro, one of the well-known and established photo Journalists in Goa.

During the session he focussed on various aspects of indoor photography. He spoke about the importance of light while clicking pictures and also explained the purpose of a soft box and a tent box in controlling the light in a picture. He showed us the different ways of using them in order to get variation in the pictures. He also taught us the concept of table-top photography and how to acquire, avoid and play with shadow effect in the pictures.

Mr. Rosario showcased some of his work to the students and also his experience behind it. Along with photography he also shared with the students some of the rules and ethics that we need to keep in mind as photo journalists. It was an interactive session as the students got to click pictures and ask their doubts related to photography.
